2014 Altitude Chardonnay
This is our take on a barrel-aged Chardonnay. The fruit is sourced from Peek Vineyard in the Apple Hill area of El Dorado county at the 3,000 ft. elevation. The fermentation process is started in stainless steel and finished off in Oak barrels. This Chardonnay is aged in 28% New French Oak for eight months on the lees, stirring to add increased mouth feel and complexity, complimenting the bright acidity.
