The winery's 40 acres of premium vineyards are located in Fair Play AVA Decomposed granite soils and a balanced microclimate at a 2,500 foot average elevation allow us to produce premium grapes with the distinct flavor of the foothills.
The grape growing sites in the vineyards were chosen to bring out the best quality in each varietal and all of the vines are pruned by hand. The first crops were dropped to increase vigor in the plant and to promote better fruit. Better fruit will make a luscious wine, as you can already taste from the barrels (designated First Crush) in the tasting room.
