2016 Altitude Barbara
Our Barbera is a play off of the Italian style, incorporating some California boldness. The fruit is sourced from our Estate Vineyard and fermented warm to extract tannin and color. The wine is aged for 16 months in neutral and once used barrels to lend a touch of oak while preserving the varietal character. The fresh acidity and the fruit character make for a well balanced wine. The result is a dark, spicy, fruity wine.
